The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and all 50 states have launched the Nurses for Nursing Homes initiative, a $275 million national effort to recruit and retain nurses in nursing homes.
Eligible nursing students and licensed nurses may qualify for up to $40,000 in student loan repayment and/or a $10,000 stipend in exchange for a three-year commitment to work at a qualifying nursing home.
