New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill today signed legislation removing longstanding practice restrictions for Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs). The new law permanently grants qualified APNs independent authority to provide primary and behavioral health care and allows them to prescribe medications without entering into a joint protocol with a collaborating physician.
